This painting was inspired by the types of vegetables that I
remember my Mother preparing for us when I was a child. Often
times these vegetables were gleaned by my Father from the fields
where he worked as a farm worker. We never went hungry, our
meals were blessed.
Ruth 3:17 So Ruth gleaned in the field
until the evening....19 Her mother-in-law asked her, "Where
did you glean today? Where did you work? Blessed be the
man who took notice of you!"
The Lord blessed our family as well, by providing
good farmers in Arizona who allowed their workers to glean from the
crops.
